Aims
This course aims at providing professionals with the opportunity to develop their speaking skills in English. Through live sessions and thought-provoking activities, students will feel more confident when speaking English at work.
Course Outline
The course is run entirely online by qualified tutors. There are compulsory synchronous meetings and asynchronous tasks in which participants are strongly encouraged to take part in order to make the most of the course. There are also some collaborative tasks which require participants to work closely with each other.
Participants must submit a course portfolio comprising a set of compulsory tasks to be externally moderated as well as an end-of-course reflection.
The grading of the course is Pass or Fail.
A certificate will be awarded upon completion of 80% of the course tasks and the final project.
*Level B1 required.

Boosting your Body Language Communication.
Delivering Presentations.
Business Collocations and Useful Language in Speaking and Writing.
Intercultural Communication.

EFL Teacher
Alessandra Machado has been an EFL teacher since 2000 and throughout these 19 years she has acquired vast experience working with students from different age groups, purposes and backgrounds which enabled her to have a better understanding of students needs and a range of techniques to help learners improve their communication skills in English. Being a committed professional who always gives her best in all classes she teaches, she tailors her lessons according to the students’ interest and need, as well as the materials and games. She holds a B.A. in Languages (English & Portuguese), the CELTA and the CAE certificates, and other specific certifications, such as Language Learning and Development from the British Council; Dyslexia and Foreign Language Teaching from Lancaster University; The English in Early Childhood
